March 8, 2015

Sunday was extraordinarily busy this week.  We got off for Shucutitian about 8:45 and picked up some people in Ataco we saw walking to catch the bus.  When we arrived, we discovered that Bessi’s little girl had a virus and so she did not make it to service.  With that, Stephanie, her cousin did not come.  We are prayerful for Valentina’s recovery and Stephanie’s visit to the church.  Reina did come and I talked with her for a while during our break.  I went to the children’s class and enjoyed the fellowship of working with Rachel and about 3 more helpers.  They did a dramatization of Moses and a puppet show.  Rachel did a visual on the 10 plagues and then a craft.  Ladies brought in food at the end and fed the whole church.  It was a great surprise.  Bessi usually teaches the teen girls, but she was absent.  Linda took her place and did a good lesson.  She took the 5 characteristics of good qualitites for the young in Timothy and looked for those characteristics in the lives of the Rebecca, the wife-to-be for Isaac.  The girls all seemed to enjoy it and they had to work on the applications.  We finished up about 1, in time to run home for 15 minutes and then head out to Turin.  We stopped by Maria’s home to pick her up for service, but she was not there.  We have met her about 4 or 5 times now in Turin, so I was disappointed that she was not there to go to service.  Even Noe and his wife, Betty, had visited her and talked about visiting the church.  Noe had two sermons, one the dedication of a child and then a powerful message on the tongue.  We invited Noe and Betty to our home next week and then headed off for Juayua.  By the time the 7 o’clock service was going, we were tired, but it was uplifting.  Carlos gave a great message and there was a houseful of visitors form Ataco and Ahuachapan.  We brought a car load back with us and got home about 9:30.  We were encouraged to hear from the Lynda Grizzle again, knowing that all was safe with her husband Don, after having an emergency.  It is a blessing to be able to keep in contact with our friends and family and depend on God to meet needs throughout the world.

Moses in costume.

About half of the children's class.
