Cesar and Eliza had spent the night with us Wen. nite so we
wanted to fix breakfast for them. I went
out at 7:00 and got the gas for cooking.
Fortunately there was a little place on the next corner about 2 min.
away that sold gas. Just when breakfast was
all done and we were putting it on the table, Edgardo knocked on the door. We were not expecting him but his timing was
perfect so he joined us for breakfast.
After breakfast Cesar and Eliza headed back to Juayua to do a contract
on the house so the owner could paint the kitchen and clean the house before
they move in. They skype messaged later
in the day that all went well and they were back home in Santa Ana. We rested a little and had lunch then headed
out to our studies. The first one was
with Kathrine which Charlotte does and I mostly wait for her. It was hot inside so I stepped outside for a
few minutes near the end. Down the road
two men arrived on motorcycles and talked to a lady then one of them held a dog
that was lying nearby while the other gave it a shot. After giving her a paper he filled out they
came on up my way. They stopped and we
talked. They were from the Health Dept.
and were vaccinating dogs and cats for rabies.
They said there had been an outbreak some years ago. Charlotte came out and joined in the talk, I
said good luck with the cats and she said that the dogs would be a challenge
because there were so many. They laughed
and said that it seemed each person owned at least 5. The really funny thing was that as we went
back to the car we passed where they had given the one dog the shot and there
were at least 3 other dogs they did not vaccinate. At least that one is safe. Then we went to our study with
Stephanie. It was on baptism and went
well but no decision. We asked her again
to come to services this Sunday and made a date to study again next
Tuesday. We left her in her house and as
we walked down the road we met her again (or so it seemed) the lady was Stephanie’s
identical twin. Bessie said she had told
us about this but we did not understand.
We laughed about it and took her picture. Then we went on to Reina’s house. We had asked Carlos to go by and talk with
her and he had already been there yesterday afternoon so we just had a short
devotional. She said she was having some
abdominal pain so Charlotte shared the passage about Jesus preparing a place
for us. Last night we went the Thursday home
study that is here in Ataco. Carlos led
it and did another great job. It was at
a different house we had not been to before so that was interesting.
