Monday was a quiet day, a little catch up from Sunday. We studied Spanish through the morning and I
prepared a lesson for Katherine from Mark. For the afternoon we went to
Ahuachapan and walked around for about an hour.
I was trying to find a very nonessential medication from a
pharmacy. There is one really good
pharmacy in Ahuachapan that Caleb showed me and sure enough, they had what I
needed. It is funny to us that you do not
need a prescription to get a medication.
I guess you can go in and ask for just about anything. They are almost like a clinic. Then, we went to Osvaldo’s and Luz Elena’s
home. It was nice to visit with
them. There was a house full: Hector, Cesar, Eliza, Sr. Azucena, Sra.
Azucena, Dwaine and myself….and lots of kids.
We did some talking about summer trips, the needs of the churches and
lots of fellowship. Luz Elena did a specialty
dessert of some plantains covered with cinnamon and sugar. I remember Caleb mentioning this too. He remembered to take a picture, but alas, I
only remembered after it was in our tummies.
We left their home and drove back to Shucutitan for the evening Bible
study. It was a great turn out and
Hector spoke on the Ten Commandments. It
was a great lesson. After we got home we Skyped with kids for we had not talked
to anyone for a few days. We are all
offset by the time change because El Salvador does not have Day Light Savings
Time so now Huntsville is an hour ahead of us.
It seemed everyone was a little tired from losing that hourJ.
