A pleasant day here.
Early morning we had a visit from Egardo. It was a nice visit. He shared some of the plans for the church
here, especially in Triumphal and we all shared some scriptures. On Sunday, I had missed hearing his sermon at
Shucutitan because I was in the children’s class. At Ataco, he was not scheduled to preach, but
he did. We thought it was a surprise to
him, but he said he asked to preach on the spot, so I could hear him preach
too. Dwaine said it was different from
the morning sermon. Then, as he was
leaving he asked us to join his Bible study group for the evening. I was supposed to meet with a sister at
Hector’s Bible study, so we planned to go to his study next week. When we got to the Shucutitan study, there
was Egardo and his family. Hector ended
up with a commitment, so Egardo taught for him.
We just laughed and laughed. He
did a great job on a study about Joshua and Caleb. After he left our home from
the morning visit, we went out for about 30 minutes. Dwaine wanted me to see the Catholic Church
and we had a couple of items to pick up at the store. The church was open, so we went in and took
lots of photos. It reminded me of the
churches we saw in Brazil so long ago.
Everything was so ornate. Then,
we went on to our studies for the afternoon.
Stephanie was feeling better and eager to study. We studied the about the church with
Reina. Carlos said that he would stop
for a visit with Reina on Tuesday since we would be gone to Santa Ana for some
business. We thought it would be good to
have some encouragement from someone other than ourselves for her and he was
going to be in the area. We missed
having a devo with Bessi’s mom, but we pray that will happen soon.
