Yesterday we were still without the car so after spending the
morning at home we headed out for our studies on the bus and walking. We were a few minutes late for our first
study with Stephanie. Right after we got
there someone came to her door and said a house nearby had just been robbed and
the thieves might still be in the area.
Bessie said there was no one at her house so she needed to go home and
check on it. Then Stephanie ran outside
and grabbed her little girl and made her stay inside. Bessie returned and said her mother had
gotten home. We went on with the study
and did a review of the steps to become a Christian. It went pretty well but they were both still
distracted. They said police would not
come for something like this unless the people were wealthy or you paid them to
come. Then we went to Reina’s house but
she was not home so we went back to Bessie’s house and her mother made
delicious cappuccinos and we visited for a while. She is not a Christian and we are trying to develop
a relationship with her. We are going
back Friday morning to have papusas for breakfast. We got a call from Katherine that she had too
much homework again so we had about 1 ½ hours til the home Bible group. As we walked down the road Carlos drove up so
we went on with him to Zoila’s house and waited. The study was great as usual and we got to
visit a while, then Carlos dropped us off at the entrance to Ataco and we
skyped the kids and went to bed.
