It seemed like everything happened all at once yesterday
regarding the house’s finishing touches.
First, the man arrived about 7:30 to look at our situation with our
garage. There were grated ramps when we
moved in, but the angle caused the front bumper to drag when entering the
garage. He removed the ramps, but then
the middle of the car hit the entryway.
He stayed until we left about 1 to go to Juayua. He is going to return this morning to pour a
little concrete and then another man is going to make an extended ramp that
will flip up. We are dubious that this
will work, but we feel like we should put the car in the garage. Parking on the street at night is not
recommended. At the same time, another
man came to work on the shower. The
heater attachment blew the first time we turned it on. He took it off and took the whole heater with
him. We think he might return in the morning
with it. Finally, Claro arrived to put
in the internet. Yeah! They could not get our phone going, but they
got the internet going. They had to wire
both outside and inside the house. I
think they are complete and it sure is great to be able to communicate
again. We wrapped things up and went to
Juayua for the afternoon. Because
Osvaldo is building a home, our people resources were limited. Cesar arrived about 1:30 and we did our
visitations throughout the afternoon.
Towards evening we discovered that no one else would come. So, Cesar took the study with Mr. Rivers and
Dwaine taught his second home study for
the group that stayed at Regina’s home. We
have had so many dinner guests we stopped and got a few more groceries in
Juyaua and made it home to get to skype family after a week of little internet!
Worker to repair garage entryway.
