Another
earthquake. Clifton got up Friday
morning asking if there was another earthquake. I looked it up online and yes, there was. It was in Guatemala also, 4.5. That one didn’t wake Dwaine and me up, but it did Clifton. Friday morning we wanted to make a trip to Ahuachapán. We had not been in a long time, and we wanted
to look for a few things. First, I had
to go to Dollar City to see if there was anything I might use for children’s
classes. We were also looking for a gift
for Abi for she will be one year old on Sunday. Then, we went into a few stores looking for a
blender. When Lucky had been here, she
had a blender and gave it to Carlos and Linda.
I thought I might could use one to help blend fruits and veggies for the
breads I make and take for refreshments and gifts. We found one on sale for 20% off and when we
got home we realized that it was the exact same one that Lucky had when she was
here. That was funny. Then, of course, we went to Selectos and
there we ran into Noé. That was
great. He was so glad to see Clifton and
said he could come visit and hang out with Clifton some on Friday. I said that was fine as long as he didn’t
plan to take him for a spin on his motorcycle. Next, we ate a Pollo Campero, a
fast food chicken restaurant. Then, we
went by Fernando’s home. All his family
was at home, including his children, Fernanda and Fernando. His wife has been diagnosed with breast
cancer. It was good to get a few minutes
of precious fellowship with them and some time in prayer. Then we went home, rested a few minutes and
then headed out to Shucutitan. We had
missed studying with Natividad earlier in the week due to rain, so we wanted to
head out to her home. Dwaine started
with on Romans 5 and I ended with I Peter 1.
The group had brought a large print Bible for her, so we were able to
make this presentation. Both her
daughters, Mirdna and Bethsaida sat in on the study. Then, we headed down the mountain, across the
street and then up the mountain on the other side. Whew.
We wanted to visit and study with Osmin’s mother, Teresa, but she was
not at home. So, we descended
again. I thought I could remember where
Osmin’s sister lived from several months ago, so we headed out to see if I
could. She had come too late to the
Bible study on Tuesday, so we wanted to visit.
I remembered the right house, and her husband was also home. Their names are Velma and William. They invited us in to study and Dwaine did a
study regarding Adam and Christ. The man
said he had some questions, so we plan to go again next week. That is our first study with this couple. Then, it was almost 5, but we wanted to visit
with Rosaria for a few minutes. Clifton
had not met her, so we wanted to drop by. She was home and as always, invited us into her home. She said at least twice, how guapo....handsome Clifton was. We all enjoyed that. We headed home and after we were home for a
few minutes, we realized Bryan and Cesar were sitting on our door step. We invited them in and Brayan said he forgot
to come by Thursday night. They stayed
about an hour and then Cesar had to go to work.
That kept us busy for the day.
This is what happens when you suddenly realize you haven't
taken many pictures in a few days....you get a picture of some evergreen tree.
Chicken with babies.
I am telling you, all the babies were under that one chicken
in the picture above.
Somewhere in this picture is a kite spider, but I can't find it either.
