Friday was
different, but in a good way. Dwaine
started the day having Ricardo over to review Watchman’s Nee’s book, The Normal Christian Life. It is a book on Romans and
has been a long time favorite of Dwaine.
He found it in Spanish and had gotten a copy for Ricardo. When Dwaine told him he had the book, Ricardo
asked him to do a synopsis of the book before he read it. After he was done, Ricardo asked if he could
present it to a group of men on Saturday.
So they set that up for August 15th. Before they were done, Noé arrived to spend
some time with Clifton. He wanted to
take him to a nearby waterfall and then have lunch with us. I had cooked so many casseroles and pupusas
for the week, I was just going to reheat some lunch. They were gone for about an hour and when
they returned, Clifton had lots of pictures to share. It is amazing that it was so close and we had
never heard of it or seen it. In between
people coming and going, I was trying to start some work on a teaching seminar
that will be August 8th. I
have that feeling August 8th is tomorrow and I have a lot of ground
to cover. I have been keeping good notes
on what I have been teaching and Pedrito has been keeping samples. I am sure it will go fine, but for me it is a
big undertaking. I made a fair amount of
progress. Friday night has no Bible
studies in homes scheduled, so Clifton asked if we might have time to watch ‘Interstellar.’ So, I decided I would prepare some of my visuals
while the movie was playing. I made good
progress and the movie was really nice.
I think it was the third movie we have watched since we got here. It was a good break. We did have one late night treat. Leanna had gone with some friends to visit
Dwaine’s brother, Guy. They got to skype
us and that is the first time we have been able to see him and his wife since we left the states. That was a great finish to the day.
