July 4th!
I can’t really remember if anyone said Happy Fourth of July, except maybe
our kids when we skyped. For us it was
registration day and final prep in Juayua for the group. First we met a man in Juayua who might have a
house to look at. That fell through for
us. He only had a place for a business
and a small apartment. Oh well, he will keep looking for us. Anyway, we got the key from the landlady and
set up shop in the open classroom for registration. We came and went in small numbers and in the
end we had about 15 to register for each class.
That will give us a starting place for the classes. There will be a class from 9 to 11 in the
morning and then 1 to 3 in the afternoon.
Most will be students, but a few older people as well. Dwaine mostly
worked on running to Xerox papers for English class and for the group. He had written a paper for a handout, Lucky had helped with the translation and Idesigned the front and back for the handout. It was a group effort. Then
we ate at one more restaurant, R & R Restaurant to check it out for the
group. It was really good and the
waitress wanted to take our picture for Facebook. So, you can look at R & R Restaurant in
Juayua, El Salvador and hopefully find us.
Then, we headed on the English class.
I taught it and he rested a few minutes.
Afterwards we went to Kelly and Hose’s for a study. Kelly was not home, but Hose was. So Dwaine did the study on that he had done
for Kelly for Hose. Then, on to the
Saturday evening study in Juayua.
Brother Azucena led the study on evangelism, as he will do for the month
of July. Samuel also came and will be
heading back to the States in a week. It
was good to see him again.
